Please read the Terms and Conditions of Peru Volunteer (PV) carefully. The following terms and conditions are an agreement between you PV. When you make an application for a Volunteering at Peru Volunteer, you are agreeing to what is stated below.
We provide with the following services
- Airport Receive/ Transfer
- Project Work
- Pre- and During Support
The volunteer is solely responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel, specifically including all airfares or other transport costs to and from the host country as well as any local transport costs. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to carry all necessary documents when traveling abroad. Volunteers are responsible for ensuring their travel documents are up to date and valid for travel.
PV does not provide insurances of any kind. Travel insurance is mandatory for each volunteer, and the volunteer will purchase this prior to departing on the trip. The volunteer is responsible for evaluating and determining the type, extent and levels of any insurance coverage they need or desire for their planned volunteer travel period. However, it must cover their entire travel period.
PV do not arrange visas. You are entirely responsible for arranging your visa and extending your visa (including all costs associated therein) and ensuring that it remains valid for the duration of your placemen.
Use of Photos and Feedback
By agreeing to the terms and conditions you agree that PV can use your photos and written feedback while at the project to post on its website www.peru-volunteer.com. PV might use such material for marketing/promotion in form of brochure/emails/ or on social media channels or on the website. This includes photos and videos posted on our Facebook page and other social media network sites.
The volunteer has to report his project in written form. This documentation is neccesary for the project, PV and the cooperation partner.
Change of Dates and Duration
If the volunteer changes their start date, PV hast o be informed at least 4 weeks before. If not PV have to charge an administration fee of EUR 50,– for each change they make. Program changes within seven days of the volunteer’s start date will incur an administration fee of EUR 150,–.
The volunteer get keys and if they dont bring their own unlocked phone PV offers a phone during the stay. If the Volunteer loses his phone also if it gets stolen the Volunteer has to buy a new one. If a key gets lost or stolen from a volunteer the volunteer has to pay the change for a new lock and the copy for allnew keys. If a volunteer breaks/damages something will have to re-pay it.
Refund and Cancelation
PV reserve the right to end the volunteer agreement with immediate cancellation of your program with no refund if:
The project where the placement is taking place believes you are not fulfilling your responsibilities and duties or you fail to uphold the responsibilities that you signed up to
- You are found to be involved in any illegal activities or convicted of any criminal activities during the period of the volunteer placement
- You violate any conditions outlined under “Responsibilities of Volunteers”
- If you have given false information about your medical or mental health condition, life style choices or personal habits within your application
- If the volunteer wants to travel before and in project time PV gives no refund.
Also no kind of refund will be given if the volunteer want to travel during his stay and project work.
The volunteer accepts the responsibilities and risks associated with their agreement to travel to, temporarily live in and provide volunteer services in a developing country. Such travel and volunteer work can be often hazardous and involves a certain degree of risk, inherently dangerous activities and personal perils to the volunteer, both foreseen and unforeseen, all of which are fully accepted by and solely assumed by the volunteer. Therefore, PV including any and all of its employees, managers and host families and partners are not liable, to the maximum extent of the law, for any loss or harm the volunteer or associates may suffer, including but not limited to loss caused directly or indirectly by:
- Emotional injury
- Personal injury
- Illness or disease
- Damage to or loss of property
- Natural disasters
- War or terrorism
- Hostage situations
- Transport Accidents
- Drug and Alcohol Use
Drug and Alcohol Use
The volunteer must abide by the rules put in place by PV, volunteer placement institution and host family in regards to alcohol consumption. Drug use (unless prescribed by a doctor) is strictly prohibited and will result in instant dismissal from the program with no refund.
In the event of cancellation by the volunteer, the program fee/deposit to the project and your placement that is payable is dependent on the date of receipt of written notice in line with the following:
Notice of cancellation
- More than 12 weeks before departure: 100% refund of program fee/deposit
- 8-12 weeks before departure: 75% refund of the program fee/deposit for the chosen project
- 4-8 weeks before departure 50% refund of the program fee/deposit for the chosen project
- Less than 4 weeks before departure no refund of the program fee for the chosen project
- If a volunteer cancels his or her placement after joining a program or prior to the agreed end date, no refund will be made
All refunds will be made between 60 and 90 days.
PV offers a 7,5% referral, of the saled price, reward for volunteers who refer a friend or family member to volunteer with PV. Returning volunteers are eligible for a 10% discount or the possiblity to work.
These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of Netherlands.
