This is a little late, but i wanted to post also my film camera pics so here it is! First of all, i want to thank Libia for being the most wonderful human being i’ve met in Peru. She helped me anytime i needed, understood me when i had problems and guided me when i was confused. Besides all that, she is the sweetest and warmest person and will be there for you anytime you need. 🥰🙏 Second of all, i want to thank the people i met through the organisation because they were amazing, we had fun going out together and sharing the place with them was super chill and a pleasure. 🥳🙏 And last (but not least), i want to thank those wonderful children from where I volunteered. You could see that they don’t have a lot of things, but they were always joyful and ready to learn something. They were so interested in knowing about me, spending time with me and doing activities together. ❤️🙏 Although I didn’t spend that much time, for me, the experience was amazing and i would choose this organisation all over again. Thank you, all!🫶🏻❤️ - 19 Mar 2024

I stayed 3 month in Cusco with Peru Volunteer and it was an absolutely amazing experience! I worked at the primary school as an english teacher and in a Kindergarden. I also helped at the after noon reading project. I loved it all! The kids were all so cute and all the teachers were very nice 🙂 Even though I lived alone I felt like home and made friends with the other volunteers and other Peruvians so that’s I don’t wanna leave! It is a great way to improve (or learn) your Spanish and to get an inside of the culture and the diverse country. Furthermore I meet the nicest people on the way and made the best friends! Libia (who taught me Spanish the first week) is THE NICEST person i’ve ever met and she helped me with every problem I had, she is like my Peruvian mom. I was also able to meet Maya who is sooo nice as well and who also helped me in any situation. I can higly recommend it and I will definitely come back as soon as possible! (if you have questions about my experience or wanna see more pics, feels free so text me on instagram @elviajedefranka) - 23 Nov 2023

Spent 6 weeks living in Cusco, working in a school, living in a great house with total support and attention from the caring cooridnator, Libia. She and the Coordinator Thomas from Holland, were so helpful and the best support network for the first time in Southamerica. I am so happy with how everything went and i wouldnt change it for anything. Some of my happiest Memories were created on this Trip. - 30 Jun 2023

- 23 May 2023

My experience with Peru Volunteer was really good. It was very memorable and special. Volunteering with children at the after-school reading program - libros magicos, helping with art classes and assisting at a ceramics workplace were all interesting experiences. Although I was sometimes doubtful about the impact of my help, I feel like my attention and assistance made a difference. My Spanish teachers were really good and put a lot of effort into preparing fun classes. It improved my Spanish a lot! Cusco is a beautiful and calm place to stay for a longer period of time. There is so much to see. Out of all places I visited in Peru, this city is one of my favourites! The coordinators Libia and Thomas are super nice: very accomodating, flexible and kind. Libia helped me organise tours, was there when I needed anything and accompanied me to hospital when I was sick. A great support! The volunteerhouse is nice - with a shared kitchen to cook and eat with other volunteers. The bedroom is comfortable too! The other volunteers are really friendly and I am grateful to connect with them. I am very happy I volunteered with Peru volunteer and I'm very grateful for the experience! - 11 May 2023

My month of volunteering has finally come to an end and I couldn’t be more sad. The “Peru Volunteer” is a once in a lifetime experience. Between the magical landscapes of Peru, the amazing people and the kindness of Libia, things couldn’t have gone better. And I couldn’t recommend it enough. We helped in the “libros magicos” which was a moving experience for me. Thankfully Libia’s spanish courses helped us to be able to communicate with the children. Being able to help these children was the most rewarding experience and I couldn’t be happier to have been able to help them even in a small way- as they too, changed my life in a way. Thank you so so so much!! My month of volunteering has finally come to an end and I couldn’t be more sad. The “Peru Volunteer” is a once in a lifetime experience. I spent over 2 weeks in Cusco and had the time of my life with Peru Volunteer ❤️ Working in the dog shelter and supporting the ,libros mágicos’ project was a fulfilling experience. The homestay was located central in Cusco, the people were amazing and I was able to leverage my Spanish skills. Thank you, Peru Volunteer! - 30 Sep 2022

I spent two months in Cusco with the well-organized “Peru Volunteer” of Thomas. The first three weeks I took intensive Spanish classes with the lovely Libia and her team and enjoyed the time in the old town of Cusco, which was the center of the Inca Empire and therefore has a lot of history and culture to discover. Then I started with the after-school reading project and the kindergarten project. Both projects, as well as some Spanish lessons, fit together perfectly. The kids are very warm-hearted and open to read and learn. It is a very fulfilling volunteer work - the children build up a close relationship very fast and due to the wide range of the age you have all different levels of knowledge and development. I really enjoyed my time in this special and warm-hearted environment, learned Spanish very quickly and had no problems traveling throughout southern Peru at the end of my stay. Thanks to this wonderful time and insight in Cusco, I never felt like a tourist in Peru but rather like a local. - 26 Sep 2022

I spent 4 weeks with Peru Volunteer in the summer of 2019, and had the most amazing time. This great opportunity gives you the chance of really making a difference in the local community with various projects to choose from. Marcelo was very welcoming, and great in helping set up the volunteering work. I would definitely recommend. Thanks again !! Anthony - 23 Sep 2022

I had a great time in Cusco, especially because of the support from Peru Volunteers. Thomas took care of the organisation very quickly and reliably and I had a good and reliable guide, buddy and contact person in Marcelo! Many thanks to both of you! The accommodation is adequate, there is everything you need to live, some nice places to sleep and very lovely neighbours :)The Spanish classes are a must for anyone who wants to brush up on their Spanish or learn something more. You will grasp and understand many things more quickly thanks to Libi's team at the language school! A big thank you to you too!In the project itself (dog shelter) I quickly got used to it and also got a lot of love back from the dogs. But unfortunately one volunteer is not enough to help sufficiently, so please feel encouraged to volunteer! Everything you give in energy, love, ambition and dedication, you will get back double and triple! All in all, I can only recommend this experience to all of you! - 22 Mar 2022

I spent 7 weeks in Cusco and had an amazing time! The application process with Peru Volunteer went very smoothly and Thomas replied to all emails within a very short time which made it easy for me to choose this organization. Right from the beginning I felt super safe and comfortable. From the airport pick up to the first day in my project, Marcelo was there to answer any questions, give recommendations and help out in whatever way possible. When I got sick he took me to the hospital and he also went to several ticket offices with me to plan my weekend trip to Machu Picchu. If you’re looking for an amazing abroad experience in Peru I would definitely recommend Peru Volunteer! - 24 Feb 2022

I had a great time in Cusco with this organization. It´s rather small, but that means that you are way closer to the peruvian life and more flexible in your project choices. Their connection to the spanish school is great, the coordinator in cusco is great, cusco itself is great, so if you want to have a great time, use this organization. Very open and heartwarming people, always ready to help. - 28 Dec 2021
